Metamorphoses

A Fragment

In 2020, my beloved father dropped dead. He left behind my mother, whose rare dementia is robbing her of the ability to recognize the people, places, and things before her. Her own home has become an impenetrable labyrinth. Insight remains razor sharp, while memory disintegrates, and that is cruel. Her older sister, with Alzheimer’s of her own, lives in the house with her.

Metamorphoses: A Fragment is a photobook in the form of a playscript, expressing the emotions that I experience in response to this situation, and in response to the landscape that sustains me.
